ABOUT

Cassandra Massey, LMFT

Cassandra is a licensed marriage and family therapist who provides relational, neuro-affirming therapy to individuals, couples, and parents.

Cassandra Massey, JD, MA, LMFT,  works with adults, couples, and parents, with a particular focus on relationships and neurodivergence. Her areas of focus include couples work, relationship difficulties, ADHD, autism, AuDHD, anxiety, complex trauma, and late-identified, self-identified, or suspected neurodivergence. She also supports parents navigating the stress, uncertainty, and relationship challenges that can arise while raising neurodivergent children and teens.

Her approach is relational, neurodivergence-affirming, trauma-informed, and nervous-system informed. She draws primarily from Relational Life Therapy, the Gottman Method, and Internal Family Systems, while integrating attachment-based approaches, interpersonal neurobiology, mindfulness, and somatic work. She also offers discernment counseling for couples who are unsure about the future of their relationship.

Her style is active, warm, direct, and collaborative. She helps clients understand the patterns that keep them stuck, change how they respond to themselves and each other, and build more connected, workable, and sustainable ways of relating.

Cassandra earned her JD from UC Law San Francisco and her MA in Marital and Family Therapy from Alliant International University.

Before becoming a therapist, Cassandra worked as a family law attorney and mediator. Her experience working with individuals and families during periods of conflict, transition, separation, and divorce shaped her interest in helping people address painful relational patterns before they become more deeply entrenched.

Her commitment to relational, neuro-affirming care is informed by both her professional training and her lived experience.

She provides secure online therapy to clients located in California.
