PARENT THERAPY
Online Parent Therapy
Neuro-affirming support for parents navigating the emotional, relational, and practical demands of raising a neurodivergent child or teen.
Parenting can become exhausting when much of your energy goes toward anticipating needs, managing difficult moments, advocating at school, navigating conflict, or wondering whether you are responding in the “right” way.
Parent therapy gives you a space to focus on your own experience—not just your child’s needs. Together, we can make sense of the stress, emotions, relationship patterns, and expectations that may be leaving you overwhelmed, reactive, guilty, disconnected, or unsure of yourself.
Parent Therapy Focus Areas
- Parenting stress, overwhelm, and burnout
- Worry, guilt, frustration, or self-doubt
- Parent–child conflict and disconnection
- Differences or conflict between caregivers
- Boundaries and family communication
- Balancing your child’s needs with your own
- Coping with meltdowns, shutdowns, or emotional intensity
- Changing expectations of yourself or your child
- Feeling isolated, misunderstood, or stretched too thin
- Navigating sensory and executive-function differences
- Building a more sustainable way of parenting
Compassionate and Practical Support
I frequently work with parents of neurodivergent children and teens, including Autistic children and teens, ADHDers, and those who identify as AuDHD; those who experience anxiety or sensory and executive-function differences; and those exploring possible neurodivergence.
A neuro-affirming approach does not mean ignoring challenges or abandoning boundaries. It means understanding your child’s needs and nervous system while also making space for your own limits, emotions, relationships, and well-being.
Our work may include supporting regulation, setting clearer boundaries, reducing reactivity and guilt, improving communication, navigating differences between caregivers, and finding ways of relating to your child—and to yourself—that feel more grounded, connected, and sustainable.
